Community Freshview
Saturday 27th March saw the second highly successful Community Freshview sponsored by Lambeth Council. People were out painting their fences, tidying their front yards and helping with the community garden and planters outside the pub.

A Big thank you to Veolia (the recycling company) and Community Freshview who make this event possible by donating compost, supplying all the paint and equipment free to us and were on hand to help on the day.
Guerilla Gardening
In 2009 and earlier this year a group of us undertook some Guerilla Gardening and replanted the Ellora Road Planters with herbs and vegetables.
Take a look if you are passing, they look great. We would love your help watering the planters over these hot months. If you can help please email the Committee.

Sunflower & Pumpkin Growing Competition
2009 saw the first ever Annual Giant Sunflower Growing Competition. 2010 is going to be bigger and better with a pumpkin growing competition as well as a sunflower growing competition. The pumpkin growing competition will be judged around Halloween.
Some wonderful sunflowers are appearing around the neighbourhood. Email the Committee if you would like someone to pop around and measure and photograph your sunflower.
Winners will be announced at the Street Party on September 11th, 2010.

Potter's Lane Community Garden
Potter's Lane Community Garden was a small area of land which no one wanted to maintain. Then some local residents got involved. Now, their award-winning community garden is making this popular route cleaner, safer and greener for everyone.
